Pet-Friendly Lynchburg: Parks, Trails & Restaurants

Our property has a fenced backyard, which is why so many guests bring their dogs. Lynchburg has plenty of places to take them.

Parks & Trails

Percival's Island Natural Area is the best dog walk in the city. It is a flat, paved trail along the James River with water access points where dogs can cool off. Keep them leashed on the trail.

Riverside Park has open grassy areas and river access. Blackwater Creek Trail is a longer option at about four miles, mostly shaded, running through woods along the creek.

Liberty Mountain trails are five minutes from the property. The trail system is extensive and dog-friendly.

Dog-Friendly Restaurants

Several downtown restaurants have patios that welcome dogs. Three Notch'd Brewing has a dog-friendly outdoor area. El Jefe Taqueria has a patio. During warmer months most of the downtown restaurants with outdoor seating will accommodate dogs.

Pet Fee & House Rules

We charge a $75 pet fee per stay. Please disclose your pet when booking. The backyard is fully fenced, but we ask that you supervise your pet outdoors and clean up after them. Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds.

Nearby Vet

Lynchburg has several veterinary clinics within ten minutes of the property in case of emergencies.
